Off The Wall Privacy Policy

This policy applies to Off The Wall for iOS and the hosted web app.

Off The Wall is a local-first app for controlling and inspecting supported Kilter/Aurora training boards. It does not have user accounts, a hosted database, or an Off The Wall backend service.

Information The App Uses

When you choose to connect to a board, your browser, operating system, or the iOS app shell may share Bluetooth device details with Off The Wall, including the advertised device name, serial number when present in that name, board-family hints, connection status, and API-version hints. Off The Wall uses this information to connect to the board, show diagnostics, remember the selected board configuration, and send LED commands.

The app may also use files, images, camera video, or exported frame and animation data when you choose those features. Those inputs are processed locally on your device.

This information is not sent to an Off The Wall server. It stays on your device unless you choose to export or share it yourself.

Local Storage

Off The Wall stores preferences and board-selection details in your browser storage or iOS app storage. This can include the selected board preset, settings, frame or animation state, and remembered mappings between a board serial number and a board configuration. This data stays on your device unless you export or share it yourself.

You can clear this data through your browser or device storage settings.

Bluetooth, Camera, Microphone And Files

Bluetooth access, camera access, microphone access, photo or file imports, and file exports happen only after you interact with the relevant browser, iOS, or device permission prompts. Off The Wall uses those permissions to provide the feature you requested.

The app sends LED frame data to the board you connect to. It does not intentionally send your imported images, camera feed, or saved files to a server.

On iOS, Off The Wall may use native Bluetooth, filesystem, and share-sheet features to connect to your board and save or share files you ask it to export.

When Voice Commands are enabled in certain games, Off The Wall may access your device microphone to recognise spoken commands. Audio is used only for command recognition and is not stored by Off The Wall.

Analytics And Hosting

The hosted web version of Off The Wall is served as static files. Standard web hosting infrastructure may process ordinary request information such as IP address, browser user agent, requested URL, and timestamp to deliver the site and maintain security.

Off The Wall may use privacy-focused analytics to understand aggregate app and site usage, such as page views, feature usage, and approximate geographic region. These analytics are used to improve the app and are not used for advertising or user profiling.

Off The Wall does not require user accounts, does not display advertising, and does not use advertising identifiers for tracking.

Third Parties

Off The Wall relies on browser and device APIs provided by your browser, operating system, and, on iOS, the native app shell. Those platforms may handle permissions, Bluetooth pairing, sharing, and file access according to their own policies.

Off The Wall may connect to third-party services when you use optional features. For example, GIF search functionality may send your search query and related network request information to the GIF provider in order to return search results.

Changes

This policy may be updated as Off The Wall changes. The effective date above will be updated when meaningful changes are made.
